Dear Parents and Friends,

I that hope you all had an excellent break and on behalf of myself and the school may I wish you all a Happy New Year.

The New Year is often a time to reflect on the previous twelve months and then look forward to the next - maybe with a few resolutions on the way!

One of the things that I remember in 2008, that is very special to me, was the immense pride I felt in the school when I realised what an outstanding set of results we had achieved. This was the icing on the cake of many wonderful events and achievements across a huge range of fields, academic, cross curricular, musical, sporting, young enterprise, youth speaks ..............

I would like to thank you all for your support in achieving this.

This led me to one of my New Year resolutions - ensuring that our vision of ‘succeeding together for excellence in learning' underpins all the decisions made throughout the school.

Please read the school vision statement below.

I intend running a Book Club in the Library after school.
Would those students who are interested please meet in the Library next Thursday 15 January at 12.30 p.m. to discuss times, books etc.
If this is not convenient please pop into the Library and let me know if you are interested.
I would also be interested in starting a "Word Games Club" after school playing games such as Boggle, Countdown etc. Let me know if you like the idea or have any ideas of your own!
