Dear Parents and Friends

Fantastic weather this week for the Humanities Field Trip to Beaumaris and NantFfanconValley for our Year 7 Pupils. They have really enjoyed the experience and were very well behaved. Many thanks to all staff involved.

Just on this note can I please urge students to take care and appropriate precautions during the hot weather. Despite this weather the school uniform remains as detailed in the student planners and ¾ length trousers are not permitted.

Tickets are now available from reception for our Strawberry Prom, an event, which I am sure, will be a very enjoyable evening. The Jazz band are also performing at Ysgol Sychdyn on Thursday evening this week - so good luck to them.

Tesco Computers for Schools Vouchers

We have now begun counting our collection of vouchers. Please have a good look at home and bring in any vouchers that you find as soon as possible. This year we are hoping to collect more than 20,000 vouchers and we appreciate your help in achieving this.

Environment group - Litter pick.

On 24th May the Environment group organised a litter pick around the school grounds. Groups of pupils from year 7,8 and 9 were joined by the Keep Wales Tidy Officer as well as the Eco Schools officer in their quest to clean up th school.
It was an extremely successful afternoon. The pupils recorded a total of 6894 pieces of litter collected. This is an ongoing project and we hope more pupils will become involved in the drive to become an eco school.
Thankyou to all involved!

There are now 2 community events being organised:
Litter pick around SPAR next Thursday.
Litter pick during keep Wales Tidy week on 27th June.
