The Year 8s had a fantastic experience listening to and participating in a musical extravaganza given by the Flintshire Peripatetic Music Teachers. Aled Marshman who led the ensemble praised the positive attitude and behaviour of our pupils. Thank you to all involved.
Once again our Senior Rugby Team proved too strong for Hawarden High School running in over 50 points clear. A superb result, well done.
Year 11 trial examinations start on Monday. Please could all pupils ensure that they are quiet when near the library and the gym. We need to give our Year 11 pupils the opportunity to perform at the highest possible level and must not disturb them in any way at this important time. Can I please remind the Year 11 pupils that they need to be prompt to each exam and full uniform must be worn. Behaviour at all times must be exemplary. Good luck to all pupils taking exams in the next two weeks.

Community Meetings
PC 235 Angela Jones, our Community Beat Manager, holds Community meetings every 12 weeks for the Argoed and New Brighton areas. The next meeting is on Monday 3rd December 2007 at 7pm at the Argoed Sports and Social Club.
PC Jones is appealing to residents in the Argoed area, especially parents of young people aged between 11-18 years to come along and support the meeting. A presentation will be given on ideas and examples of youth provision in other areas and how it has addressed problems experienced in other areas. Matters were raised at previous meetings and we need to work together as a community to support youth provision in our area.
Please spare an hour of your time to come along, take part or just listen. Please support your Local Community Beat Manager. Can I encourage the young people of our community to attend as your input is vital in these discussions.
